Aedon Consulting Inc. currently has an opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer in its Vancouver office. This is a staff position and we offer a competitive benefit and salary package. Responsibilities include:

• Work with designer, engineers and drafters to provide electrical design deliverables for heavy industrial, power generation, MV and HV substation design projects
• Produce single line, three line, protection and control drawings and equipment layouts
• Perform technical calculations
• Prepare electrical equipment or construction specifications
• Interact with vendors, clients and Owner’s engineers
• Perform technical studies such as grounding, short circuit, load flow, motor start up using computer aided programs

The qualifications required for a successful candidate include:

• Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited university
• Very good experience in the application of the CEC and other major regulatory codes
• Understanding of project budget, schedule and deliverable requirements and act accordingly during the design
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision and demonstrate effective organizational skills
• A strong background and interest in electrical design, is goal oriented and seeks an environment of challenge and continuous learning
